Humboldt Lagoons State Park is about 30 miles south of Eureka California, and was created in 1921 by the Save-the-Redwoods League from lands purchased from the Pacific Lumber Company. It is now the third largest park in the California State Park System, at nearly 53,000 acres

While the park has gorgeous coast lines, it’s really famed for the Coast Redwoods. 100 of the of the 137 largest Redwoods grow in the park.
