Art in Philadelphia
One of the really nice things about Philadelphia is the sheer amount of Public Art scattered all over the city.
This is a statue of Revolutionary era General Tadeusz Kosciuszko from Poland
This statue commemorates General Washington. A couple of the smaller statues are below.
Valley Forge Pennsylvania
During my recent trip to Philadelphia, I had a bit of time to stop by Valley Forge nearby.
First stop is the reconstructed first redoubt. As the first line of defenses for the camp, it helped protect the rest of the camp from any potential British attacks.
The Maryland 1st stayed in this approximate location. These cabins are a reconstruction of what they built for themselves.
I don’t have much information about when the Covered Bridge was built, but it’s on a fairly busy road. I could not get a picture without a car either entering or on it.
And of course, as it’s a National Park, it’s also a wildlife refuge.
In Philadelphia
From my recent business trip to Philadelphia. The first picture is Independence Hall, where the Constitution was signed, and where the US Government worked until it was moved to Washington DC.
Second picture is of a statue at Penn’s Landing commemorating the Irish Potato Famine and the number of immigrants it brought to the US.
Kualoa Ranch Pictures
Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii bills itself as Oahu’s top attraction. They offer a variety of tours, via bus, 4×4, ATV, and horse, of locations on the ranch. These pictures were taken on the Movie Site tour.
